Relaxing in Tucson with nothing fancy, just a good, level site and desert trails to walk; that’s what it’s all about at Justin’s Diamond J in Tucson, Arizona. Even the standard sites are decent-sized in this adult park.
Minimal amenities include a nice book and movie room and a laundry room. There are no public restrooms or showers. Mailboxes are by the first letter of the last name. Just pick your box and go fish. Mail from Texas took only two days.
The pitch and putt area and mini golf course are interesting, kind of like desert golf, but somewhat smoother in spots. There are some regular activities during the winter, which mostly winds down by April.

A popular activity here is walking the trails, which have been playfully decorated. There are chairs and benches staged at about 1/2-mile increments. Artfully painted rocks, fake graves, a rather forlorn tin man and other odd bits offer extra entertainment. Some folks set a brisk pace with barely a howdy-do, and others meander back and forth across the trail with smiles, eager eyes and friendly greetings.

Perhaps the best feature is its proximity to the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum. Pay an annual membership fee and enjoy walking the trails there as often as you want with a free coffee perk. Fantastic place!
